Karen Moran is a songwriter/musician. She was born in Nashville, Tennessee but, raised in Franklin, Tennessee. Karen got into music at an early age. Music has always been a huge part of her life. She began with writing poetry, which she has received several awards for. Karen has received some great feedback on her music not only from family and friends but, from professionals in the industry as well. Karen's musical talent comes naturally to her. She self-taught herself to play acoustic guitar. She can also play electric guitar and piano as well. Music and songwriting has always been her passion. She is very dedicated and passionate about her music. To her, music is like therapy. With the energies, catchy hooks, meaningful lyrics, signature and unique style that each song possesses makes her music fun, upbeat and heartfelt. Her music falls into the country/pop, pop/rock and r&b genres. Karen loves the writing process and coming up with new and different ideas for songs. 

Although, Karen usually writes her own songs herself; she has co-written a song titled ''Gone In The Distance'' with Cris Moulder, a friend of hers from high school. However, this song isn't available for download - only available on YouTube.

Her single ''Speechless (I Can Barely Breathe)'' is a country/pop love ballad which she wrote about her ex boyfriend Nick. 

Her single "Gone (But Not Forgotten)'' is an r&b song that showcases thoughtful, deep and heartfelt emotions. 

Karen's experience in music: She was in chorus in middle school and high school. Her freshman year of high school, she was in band (introductory band - not marching band) she played the clarinet, which was her first time ever playing a musical instrument. 

In the past, she has auditioned for American Idol, which was a wonderful opportunity and a great experience for her. She has also done a few cover songs as well. (not available for download).   

Karen's drive, motivation and determination shows that she definitely knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. She has the encouragement and support from family and friends to keep pursuing her dreams. 

Her music is currently being promoted through her friend Austin Cook's company, Virmedius. 

Her single "You Were Everything (I Never Knew I Wanted)'', This is a neat and unique song, very confessional and ''heart on sleeve'' with a talk sing/rap approach. This is a country/pop song with a touch of rap that she wrote about her ex boyfriend Seth.

Karen's latest single "No One Will Ever Take Your Place" is a very heartfelt and honest song with a country/r&b feel. This song is about her dad and brother that both passed away almost within a year apart. (music player located under the 'Music' tab) 

Karen's new single "I Always Think Of You" which is about her now ex boyfriend Wade. She wrote this for his birthday. It's a very vulnerable and honest lyric with a (country/rap) trap/trance kinda style to it. This particular poem has won a contest and was published in a book as well.
